why should a river be in spate and yet be so quiet
is it that the struggle to keep the banks intact
is making it nervous
why is it in turmoil
why should i see it changing its course
when it is flowing as ever it was
my visions were/are   clouded
and its intentions are also shrouded
in some strange mystery
may be some islands will be formed
when the reality dawns
and the river cannot contain its fury
the banks will become bridge

and dry up all the spawns
