i did not have to say

i did not have to say

what you meant

when u just waved hand

and went away

i remember the whiff of fresh air

that passed me by

and evaporated the fatigue in my eye

and ruffled my white hair

now, that you are gone, i am waiting still

will the nectare of time

be there to fill

my cup is broken

my thirst is forgotten

but i long still

for some  one to take care

when all the chaos  i create

and donot have a moment to spare

my life, my friends

and partners in crimes

of neglecting my duties many many times

why will you

forgive

why will you let go

i had breached the dam

why would not now

the free river flow

  1. It so happened one day
    Sweet melodies passed my way
Turned around to hold the ray
By then the music travelled away
Am since then chasing those beats
That threaten me by fast retreat
Hair are white, your cup is broken
    Chaos created, duties foresaken
Still the songs have such sound track
Your friends and partners will come back
Just be by them and hear them say
The rhythm is on, where are you gone…
To caress you they were always there
In your journey so far,you could not spare
More time, more peace, more love, more care
But close were they to your heart anyway
Those dams are strong, those rivers flow
That’s the reason you had to go
Goodbye dear friend, to your cocoon you belong
That melody, that tune, that beat, that song
Those sonnets, those rhymes to them they belong…

how emphatic, how true, how precise
may be when truth confronts us, we pay a price
    we keep quiet
    we lose all might
    we just smile
    and let the memories beguile

  3. You make retreat
    So fast with ease
    Believer’s solace!
    Your smile your grace
    Agnost’s entreat!
    All this tease
    But I’ll keep the pace
    All time, all age
