why do i still wait
the simmering to stultify
the urge to revolt
and make me pensive
and patient
when the calling of the curly clouds
invokes a promise
not to reveal
what lies buried inside
the tomb which i built
by gathering the debris
of demolished castles
of sighs

the indifference could  not cause

the pain that you wished

will help me heal

so i ask, after i kneel

will u tell me

why i peel

all the layers

opf memories that are old

but have refreshing freshness

full of zeal

may be thats how

mind can rule

the terrain  that heart renders

unassailed

to yield

the drapes were hanging rather lightly

light was oozing,

the sound was still

and there were some eyes

gazing at the sight

who knows when will she see the way

i come, or just stand there

asking myself,

if she is there

now that i know,

the drapes have been moved

and the branches have been pruned

the tree has no fear

the light of moon seems near

may be you have a right

to ask me to pause

and reflect

what is the truth

my coming back to your door

or meditating outside

for a cause

bahut pareshan sa kar diya tumney

jo jikra jaruri nahin tha, usee ko kar diya tumney

ab main kuchh bhi kahun, kya farak padta hai,

jo fat gaye they paiband sapno key, unhi ko sil diya tumney

prayatn kiya tha, ki koi jikra na karey is baat ka
lekin kya karey, jab hamarey dard ka shor mach gaya
koshish to unhone bhi ki, lein chup rahey
kay pata tha, bandhan tha thoda kachha jo shayad yuhin khul gaya

i am sad and still

because you trusted and tried

the faith did not work

and you stand crucifed

how do i absorb your pain

the feeling that is unspoken

and a bit uncertain

i know this  storm will pass

some will love you more

and some will hesitate and ask

is this how shiva has to behave
swallow the poison and light the dark cave

in the hearts of those who have agendas wide

so what if time forgets, will not your values survive

why do we wait and then stare

who is coming along

and who does not care

soem will smile and walk away

some will stay and not say

what made them pause when u went

to the edge of the sky unspent

may the love cause epidemic
of a desire to belong
to one's roots and the community
and numberless claims that some have
on you, and your energy to spread smiles
some times soaked in tears and some times in desires
of sharing the quiet moments
of joy and happiness
with all those you care for
and wish and for whom
you often sing song

when the snow flakes were piling
one after another
making huge heaps
of hope and some queer
memories for keeps

what did sun rays do, of course pray

keep quiet, let the molten snow wet your feet
and not just say
how much is the love
this world has to offer always
if only we will keep our palms open
and not stint and share and  ask, if it pays

koshish yeh hai ab subha ke jagney se pehley

koi raag aisa na chhed de wo hawa

jiska rishta ab badlon se thoda toot sa gaya hai

kya adhori baat ka hai yeh  muamla

ya phir, kisee ne apni ummeed ko

par kaat kar wafa ke pinjarey mein  rakha hai
