man will discover fire

“Someday after mastering winds, waves, tides and gravity, we shall harness the energies of love. And then, for the second time in the history of the world, man will discover fire.” Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

what have i done-

whenever we hurt others, we ask ourselves, was it intentional, did we mean it, but when our actions result in hurt to others without any intention, what can we really do

seek forgiveness and also forgive ourselves!!

anger: tagore

tagore said, “If anger be the basis of our political activities, the excitement tends to become an end in itself, at the expense of the object to be achieved. side issues then assume an exaggerated importance, and all gravity of thought and action is lost; such excitement is not an exercise of strength, but a display of weakness”.

why do we not coolheadedly think, who is more powerful, one who seeks revenge,or  the one who forgives

when the time matters no more

when the time matters no more,

the passage is what counts,

if u walk and walk to seek the cure,

of all the ills that afflict the world around,

as if you have a magic potion,

with no wall to sorround

mahakali: swift, straight and frank

“not wideness but height, not wisdom but force and strength are her peculiar power. …all her divinity leaps out in a splendour of tempestuous action; she is there for swiftness, for the immediately effective process, the rapid and direct stroke, the frontal assault that carries everything before it……Intolerant of imperfection, she deals roughly with all in man that is unwilling, and she is severe to all that is obstinately ignorant and obscure, her wrath is immediate and dire against treacherey and falsehood, and malignity ill will is smitten at once by her scourge……..The impulses trhat are swift, straight and frank, the movements that are unreserved and absolute, the aspirations that mounts in flame are the motion of Mahakali ( Sri Aurobindo, The Mother, 1928, 2004: 42-43)

Gandhian thoughts: Love never claims, it ever gives. Love ever suffers, never resents, never revenges itself.

“”    I have heard many of our countrymen say that we will gain American wealth, but avoid its methods. I venture     to suggest that such an attempt, if it were made, is foredoomed to failure. We cannot be ‘wise, temperate and     furious’ in a moment. (SW, pp. 353-4)”

My aim is not to be consistent with my previous statements on a given question, but to be consistent with truth as it may present itself to me at a given moment. The result has been that I have grown from truth to truth. (H, 30-9-1939, p288)

I believe that the sum total of the energy of mankind is not to bring us down but to lift us up, and that is the result of the definite, if unconscious, working of the law of love. The fact that mankind persists shows that the cohesive force is greater than the disruptive force, centripetal force greater than centrifugal.
(YI, 12-11-1931, p. 355)

Love never claims, it ever gives. Love ever suffers, never resents, never revenges itself.
(YI, 9-7-1925, p. 24)

why should i regret

some times i wonder, if those who feel wronged or hurt by my perceived or actual acts, should be forgiven for their doubts or loved for their anger. May be both. If i do not forgive them, i can not love them.

joy-1

can we ever be happy by hurting others, but then can any else really ever hurt us. it is always we alone hurt ourselves.
