today the tree is not there,<\/p>\n
termites will not tell you its address<\/p>\n
nor the way to each its roots<\/p>\n
all the paths to go there have been sealed<\/p>\n
by the slow<\/p>\n
subtle<\/p>\n
and still<\/p>\n
moments of silence<\/p>\n
you may try and thenblame yourself<\/p>\n
for not having come in time<\/p>\n
but the truth is<\/p>\n
the tree has lived its life off<\/p>\n
it is time we let it be forgotten and<\/p>\n
let new sprouts come, grow<\/p>\n
and give shade<\/p>\n
may be you find that<\/p>\n
more soothing and reassuring<\/p>\n
the old tree<\/p>\n
be allowed to wither away<\/p>\n
from even the memory<\/p>\n
lest it reminds you of<\/p>\n
all that it might have offered<\/p>\n
but is unbale to do so<\/p>\n
