smile o little drop of dew

smile o little  drop of dew

after all you have succeeded today
in making her  eyes wet without making her cry
she may not realize
what it takes to be happy
but you have moistened her lips
so that she could avoid he cracks
that will leave a bad taste in mouth
and then she would forget all the good things of life
bless her, she is like a breeze
which does not just shake the curtains
but also opens the windows
so that one can see through the rays
which you, o drops of dew reflect
every time some one loses hopes
shine shine, o drop of dew
nothing can stop, nothing actually ever stops

kya Kaali tum thak gayi ho

kya Kaali tum thak gayi ho
phir kyun tumney itna anand diya
kyun baaaarish mein bhigo diya
saarey baalon ko
jinko sukhaney ke lieye mujhey alwa ab jalana hoga
lekin google ki gond ( dhoop) bhi to jalaani hogi
kahin khushboo kam ho gayi
aur tum phir se rooth gayi
to kya hoga

moist breeze has manured all the pains

moist breeze has manured all the pains
but i have decided that
i will not let them take over
 all the terrain
that i had extracted from the jaws of
time
that you and i shared all the while
clouds gathered their share of drops
from all around
i will smile, laugh and try
that you let me steer the boat
when waves protest and you are unsure
but only then i feel
will manure of unsaid meanings
mature

your dreams make me live again

when you shared your dreams of last night
i was taken a back,
not because you saw dreams

but because these defined new intimacies

new ways to climb the mountain
which you find difficult to negotiate otherwise

i am now dispossessed of all strains
how could i stretch my pains when
you have surrendered your boundaries to
those rays far, feeble but still glowing

when it rains

when it rains
all the grass which you had left to dry
under your steps
starts  getting renewed again
now, new pathways have to emerge
 letting  the tender grass blades
some space to grow
and i have to show that
i can still have patience
to let new pathes to emerge in my eyes
first, only then they will emerge on the sides of grasslands

why do you not sing no more

why do you not sing any more
asked a koel sitting on a branch
with several new leaves
taken a back by her comment, i wondered
may be i should sing,
songs of happiness and joy
but then  what will those clouds say
which carried my tears so high

prison of hope-2

why has this world become so sane?
why have those who loved us
become so generous
why they do not hurt us
is it that they dont want to stint
in giving pain
may be they know that we come close
to ourselves
thus
